Your first job is a Stand you can summon and a few controls you will not forget under pressure. Cash and rare fruits can wait.
Before you spend anything
You spawn into the story around the parking lot. Giorno starts the opening missions. Clear the security officers he names, then take the suitcase to Koichi. Guides and play footage agree that this opening stretch pays out a Stand arrow. Do not use that arrow yet.
Each level gives 2 skill points. The Stand arrow does nothing useful until Worthiness is unlocked. The long-running item notes say at least 1 Worthiness is required. A later beginner route recommends Worthiness II before the first roll, so you are not stuck if the first point is only the unlock. A controls write-up also says the Worthiness node shows up around level 4. If the node is still locked, finish another Giorno step and check the character skill tree again.
Use the arrow once
- Open the skill tree and buy Worthiness.
- Equip the Mysterious Arrow from your inventory and use it.
- Summon the Stand with the summon key shown in your controls. On keyboard, Q is the summon key players use in current combat footage.
- Read the Stand's own skill tree before you spend the rest of your points.
The arrow replaces whatever Stand you already hold. On a fresh account that does not matter. Later, do not arrow over a Stand you meant to keep. Rokakaka is the reset item, and it also wipes the Stand.
Stay alive long enough to learn
Hold F to block. Tap F as a swing connects to parry attacks that can be parried. Press P to pose and regenerate faster once you have space. Left Ctrl toggles run. Left Alt dashes. Left click punches. Right click is the heavy punch.
After the suitcase, the next named fight in early footage is Leaky Eye Luca. Block more than you barrage. A barrage that whiffs leaves you open.
What to ignore tonight
Do not buy a fighting style until you are level 10 and holding that style's item. Do not prestige. Do not feed a Requiem Arrow to a Stand you rolled by accident. Weekend item spawns are doubled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so rare-item hunting is better then, not during this first quest chain.
When the story stops giving fast levels, switch to the leveling route.
